Story highlights

From establishing early intervention techniques and working toward diagnostic tools, to proving the effectiveness of next generation therapies, to advancing basic research and our understanding of how the brain functions and can malfunction, to the advent and use of new technologies… all of this was achieved because of your continued, generous support. We are very pleased to present you with a sampling of the breakthroughs made through NARSAD-Grant-funded research in 2011. Please view our interactive web page to see how Foundation-funded research is driving progress to improve the lives of all those living with mental illness – a staggering 1 in 4 of Americans. The research represents work that spans across research disciplines to better understand and treat all mental illness. The Brain & Behavior Research Foundation continues its 25-year journey to alleviate the suffering caused by mental illness. Thank you for continuing to share our commitment.
